An early 20th century restored ceramic in a north London kitchen
The Antique Floor Company supplied this restored Belgian ceramic encaustic tile, manufactured in the early part of the twentieth century by Societe Anonyme Le Ceramique National Welkenraedt.
We were happy to work alongside the client, providing opinion and advice on the lay options for the tiles and eventually a technical drawing for the tiler to implement the agreed plan. The border tiles, both same size and half size, have been used to great effect tracing around the central island and the kitchen fittings, providing a strong anchoring aesthetic.
