A large run of antique Gien faience

A large run of reclaimed antique French wall faience manufactured by the internationally known ceramicist Gien* in the early twentieth century.

The tiles are 204mm (c.8 inches) x 102mm (c.4 inches) and 10mm thick.

We have 150 tiles plus c.20 free rejects bearing chips, which can either be integrated or used as cuts. The 150 tiles provides for a total linear length of close to 31 linear metres / 100 linear feet providing opportunities in hallways, bathrooms or kitchens for significant wall runs.

The tiles have been cleaned, to the reverse and sides, of their original cements and grouts but, owing to their fragility, we have not cleaned the faces. This is best to do when the tiles have been fixed and, given their glazed finish, simply requires a sponge wash with warm water and a detergent.
