9m2 of 19th century terracotta tomettes
9m2 / 97sq ft of antique, handmade, reclaimed French terracotta tomettes, the tiles have had there old lime based mortar removed from their reverses and sides, their faces steam washed and arrive ready to relay. Close to 2cm thick and 153 mm square there are 42 tiles to a m2 with each tile weighing c.950 grammes each. Owing to their handmade production their are variances in the tiles thickness.
As the photographs of a random selection of the tiles show, the patina is antique and aged.
Being terracotta tile they should only be laid inside the home and once laid they would benefit from an application of linseed oil to not only add lustre but to protect and feed the tiles.
