16.5m2 antique carreaux de ciments tiles c.1930-1940
Reclaimed from a renovation in the small town of Visan in the Vaucluse, close to Avignon, Provence.
14cm square, 13mm thick carreaux de ciments tiles.
Traditional French damier - a flecked grey and a flecked tangerine coloured tile.
Dating from the 1930's the tiles have cleaned well and are in good condition; some display edge nibbles and a very small number some groutable chips.
Being a cured rather than a fired tile they should only be laid inside the home and should be sealed when laid.
