A late 19th century ceramic damier delivering shabby chic style

These 15cm sq. antique French Boch Freres, Maubeuge ceramics, dating from the late 19th century, were reclaimed from a Canal side storage depot in the Nord Pas de Calais region of France, used to store haulage gear when horses were used for pulling barges along sections of the canal system.

Supplied ready to relay to our Northumberland, England client the damier of a turquoise and chocolate brown tile have been harmoniously laid to create an impressive, vintage, shabby-chic aesthetic.

The eye wanders with pleasure at the detail, furnishings and fixtures and we include in the photo gallery the intial stages of the transformation of the kitchen to its completion.
