A selection of four Boch Freres border tiles c.1900
A selection of four period handmade border tile runs.
Manufactured by the prestigious ceramic house of Boch Freres, Maubeuge, France c.1900 we include in the gallery scans from the original Boch Freres catalogue presenting these 17cm sq tiles.
The designs are beautiful in their detail and palette, and all have cleaned superbly revealing a heavy ceramic with crisp and consistent colours. Some tiles display occasional edge nibbles or small chips, all groutable, and the photographs are of a random selection of the tiles.
The tiles can be laid on floors or walls as a design statement;
as kitchen or counter run splashback,
in a shower or as a bathroom feature,
as a fireplace surround or in an inglenook, as high temperatures present no problems
or on the floor as a feature with a modern ceramic or an antique parquet.
Can be sold separately or as a lot.
